If you own a Toyota Matrix or Pontiac Vibe from 2002 to 2008 and you have regular black outside door handles, you’ve probably had this happen to you at least once. If you park your car outside like me, you probably go through about one of these a year. I decided to make this quick how-to video to show the easiest way to replace the door handle yourself and save some money. I’d recommend buying a new handle as opposed to taking one from the junkyard since new handles will last longer than the junkyard ones (this is based solely on my own experience). The only exception would be if you pulled a painted handle and then spray-painted it flat black. For some reason the painted handles don’t break as easy as the unpainted, black plastic handles.
